Dan Horan


Dan Horan is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Strength and Conditioning Coach with 16 years’ experience in the Physiotherapy and Fitness industries. Dan has exceptional academic achievements and holds the following:

  • Commerce degree from UCD
  • MSc Administrative Studies from Boston College
  • MSc Exercise and Health Sciences from Bristol University
  • MSc Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh

Dan is currently undertaking a PhD in UCD on injury prevention exercise programmes in elite football.  He has lectured since 2013 in IT Carlow on the BSc Sport Science, BSc Athletic Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation and MSc Strength and Conditioning.

He spent 3 years working as an Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer in the Wellness facility of Goldman Sachs Investment Bank in London between 2001 and 2004.  He has worked in private physiotherapy practice since 2007.

He was Physiotherapist for the Ireland International Futsal Team and Boy’s Under 16 and 17 International Football Teams between 2007 and 2012.  He was Physiotherapist for the Ireland Men’s Senior International Football Team from August 2012 to October 2013.

He has been Fitness Coach for the Ireland Men’s Senior International Football Team since October 2013 and is currently FAI Head of Fitness for International Football.
